Join us live at 4 p.m. to discuss FAIR Education

SAN JOSE, CA - Today, June 10 from 4 to 5 p.m., the Civic Engagement Initiative will host a live conversation on Twitter on FAIR Education Act.


The Civic Engagement Initiative will be tweeting live from our Twitter handle: @CivicSantaClara.


The event will be a fast-paced question and answer session design to spark ideas and share best practices for teaching The Fair, Accurate, Inclusive, and Respectful (FAIR) Education Act SB 48 signed into law by California Governor Jerry Brown, July 14, 2011.


Q1 - 4:06 p.m.: Share why you decided to join the FAIR Act Tweet Chat.

Q2 - 4:13 p.m.: If you are not familiar with the FAIR Act, please take the next few minutes to read it: http://bit.ly/ReadFAIRAct

Q3 - 4:20 p.m.: Based on what you read, what are your wonderings?

Q4 - 4:27 p.m.: Share actions toward implementing the FAIR Act you are involved in. If you have not been involved with any actions yet, what would you be interested in doing?

Q5 - 4:34 p.m.: Share resources that you are familiar with that support the FAIR Act.

Q6 - 4:41 p.m.: Share events or professional learning activities you attended or that are upcoming about the FAIR Act.

Q7 - 4:48 p.m.: What are some strategies to promote a welcoming attitude toward FAIR and inclusive instruction?
